Spring ushers in balmy weather and with it a feeling of hopeful exuberance. As the gray frost recedes and buds begin to burst forth with colorful new life, it is as if Mother Nature herself whispers in the wind. “Awaken. Go outside. Have fun.” Truly, Spring brings forth a renewed energy and this is only the beginning of what we love about her. Here’s a list of a few more.

Birds chirping. Bunnies hopping. Baby chicks everywhere. Box turtles and bears coming out of hibernation. March winds roaring. April showers pouring. May flowers in all their glory. Tulips. Buttercups. Cherry Blossoms. Roses. Irises. Wildflowers raising their heads to say “Hello” to the sun. The smell of freshly mowed lawns. Flags flying. Kites soaring. Honeysuckle-laden breezes blowing fast and slow. Sunglasses. Sunflowers. Peeps. Photos with the Easter Bunny. Pastel dresses. Patent leather shoes. Running. Hiking. Sailing. Surfing. Pogoing on a stick.

Take a breath here

Camping. Weiner roasts. Gooey chocolate marshmallow S’mores. Gardens of all types and varieties. Get-togethers in the park. Softball. Baseball. Street hockey. Touch football. Volleyball. Soccer. True blue skies. Puffy white clouds. Shopping at the Farmers Market. Hopscotch. Blowing bubbles. Outdoor festivals. Fresh air. Star gazing. Bike riding. Roller skating outdoors. Feeding the ducks. Washing your car in the driveway. Dancing in rain showers. Jumping in puddles. Walking with man’s best friend (whether they be canine or feline). Baby goats, colts, calves, and more. Raindrops. Thunderstorms. Howling winds while safely tucked  indoors. Car trips to anywhere and everywhere. Sandy beaches. Bare feet. Splash pads. Water balloons.

(And take another breath.)

And, treasure hunting at flea markets. Chasing rainbows. Soaking up rays. Maypoles. Crocuses. Crops. Daffodils. Jonquils. Daisies. Hyacinths. Garden parties. Iced tea. Lemonade. Plucking peaches. Lady bugs. Lightning bugs. Caterpillars. Butterflies all aflutter. Blue Jays. Cardinals. Robins. Sparrows. Crows. Hummingbirds. Sea Gulls. Pelicans. Flamingos. Beach balls. Picnic baskets. Flip flops. Tire swings. Jumping rope. Sea-sawing. Bluebonnets. Indian Paintbrushes. Wafts of barbecue on the breeze. Napping in a hammock. Rocking on a porch swing. Wishing on a dandelion that Spring’s longer and longer days of sun and fun never end.
