Our 2024 Integrated Advisors Summit is happening in New Orleans! Are you ready? Because not only will we all be working hard at this power-packed event, we’ll also have opportunities to play. Knowing this, we wanted to list a few of our best suggestions for experiencing the sights, sounds and tastes unique to the “Crescent City.” Believe us, there are plenty of fun things to see and do. In fact, maybe you should plan to spend an extra day or two around the conference to fit them all in.

With so much to do, where do you start?

How about a Cajun Encounters City Bus Tour? It’s a great way to soak in the city’s rich history as you tour must-see neighborhoods, famous landmarks and select Crescent City cemeteries. All in the comfort of a climate-controlled bus, of course. Find out more details at New Orleans Sightseeing & Cemetery Tours | CajunEncounters.com

Soak in the live music scene on Frenchman Street. Revel in authentic New Orleans celebrations and discover the vibe of some of New Orleans’ best music. Located at the edge of the Historic French Quarter, it’s where the past meets the present for an extraordinary good time.

Walk around the French Quarter. Famous for its vibrant nightlife, raucous Bourbon Street boasts Cajun eateries and swinging jazz clubs. Quieter streets lead to the French Market, where you’ll discover gourmet food and local crafts. Stroll down Jackson Square to see street performers entertaining against the majestic backdrop of the soaring St. Louis Cathedral. Caution: It’s easy to lose yourself here—it’s so much fun.

Imbibe and revive with Creole cuisine and more. Gumbo, po-boys, jambalaya, red beans and rice, crawfish étouffée, beignets, bananas foster and king cakes—all serve to give the ultimate taste of New Orleans. Take a Mississippi Paddle Boat Cruise. Imagine the romance of floating down the Mighty Mississippi River past the scenic New Orleans skyline. From historic tours to jazz/dinner cruises there is certain to be one you’ll love. Viator.com/New-Orleans-tourism/

Hop into a Second Line Parade if you’re lucky enough to see one. Participate in a little New Orleans culture by joining in a traditional second line parade. As you might have guessed, the “second lines” follow the main parade or procession of live brass bands, hence the name “second line.” Crowd participation is encouraged in a wide variety of occasions including, but not limited to, funerals, weddings, Saints’ games and more.

Of course, 24 hours is not enough to see it all. But, it is enough to immerse yourself in the culture of this vibrant, colorful, one-of-a-kind place filled with rich history and architecture. Enjoy round-the-clock revelry and spicy Creole and Cajun cuisine. From live jazz music to brass bands, you’ll discover the festive spirit of New Orleans is unlike any other.

So, go ahead. Take a whirlwind tour of the “Big Easy” while you’re in town for our 2024 Integrated Advisors Summit. Think of it as yet another way to network with contacts old and new as you enjoy your stay.
